I currently use X10 for all my lighting around the house, but currently only use AM12 or LM12 plug in modules. I was going to use the LD10/11 etc, but have decided to build my own hardwired low voltage control system for the permanent lighting.

The HA server is a Pentium III based 500Mhz industrial PC chassis with single board computer and a passive backblane. I chose this because I have a couple of legacy ISA interface boards and there are very few ISA slot motherboards in the market other than old models.

The software I use is Homeseer. This is a very stable programme and on my HA machine, this has happily run for more than 14 weeks or more without any crashes or slowing of the machine. The only reason for the reboot is to update any software etc on the machine. Below is an image of the HA server.
